I. Statement of Claim
I believe my client, Harry Valen, was unjustifiably charged based on the transcript of this previous court docket:

We believe this trial needs to be re-opened, re-visited and re-done based on facts mentioned below.
Furthermore, my client and I would like to request this appeal to be looked at by a different judge than Chief Justice, Devyn Little, to get a new, not previously involved judgement.
- On the day of the original court case, one of our witnesses was removed from the witness list, just about 2 hours before the hearing started. Conversations back and forth occured, and the final verdict on this matter was announced less than 30min before the trial started, leaving the Defense to be less prepared than they should have been.
- During the original court case, a shootout occured outside the courthouse, that caused disturbance and distraction for all members of DOJ, Prosecution and Defense. We believe that this disturbance has caused every individual involved to not be fully concentrated on the case and it should have been postponed.
Defense has been informed after the fact that a mistrail could have been filed on the spot, but miscommunication and lack of knowledge unfortunately made this not possible from our side. We would therefore like this trial to occur to revisit this case entirely, from the original charges filed against my client. We are aware that my client already has served his time in prison, and if he was found to be not guilty after the fact, we would like to seek recompensation for the time served. We therefore also requested on May 19th to extend the deadline on the fine payment to be removed until this docket has been solved.
