NOTICE: With our servers being under continued development, our rules are going to constantly be changed to fit the needs of the community. Our rules are here to be followed as guidelines, to make sure everyone in the community has a fair and fun time. It is required that you read the rules below and that fully understand them before playing. Staff reserve the right to remove anyone at any given time with or without providing evidence.

Here at Legacy Roleplay, we strive to be unique from other servers and have a high standard of roleplay. Everyone follows the rules, including the staff.

It is important to understand that even though a rule isn’t specifically written for certain actions, it might still be punishable.

If you feel like you have been wrongly banned, refer to our staff complaints located here on our forums. Please make sure you also follow the Ban Appeal process steps.

1. Our Community
Legacy Roleplay is a community that generally consists of individuals over the age of 18, however, this does not mean you cannot play within our community. We respect and recognize the younger people that on in our community and will not tolerate any discrimination or bullying of any kind.

(1.1) Bullying, Harassment, or Targeting is punished with a permanent ban without appeal.

(1.2) Any form of discrimination, racism, or sexism is punished with a permanent ban without appeal. Racist slurs are not welcomed regardless of what context you say them in. Rape Roleplay or vulgar language/actions are not tolerated.

(1.3) Normal swearing is allowed even when you are in a roleplay.

(1.4) Any threats made to the community or a person within it will be taken very seriously. A permanent ban will be issued without the chance to appeal. Depending on the context of the threat, we will happily assist the police with any inquiries.

(1.5) The Staff Team reserves the right to ban any person from our servers at any time if they are found to be disruptive, or if we have a valid reason to think that they are here to be disruptive.

(1.6) In roleplay, every situation is different, and it is difficult to detail everything here. Just keep in mind that this is an adult community and some things come down to using common sense.

(1.7) Encouraging or forcing other members of the community to break rules is strictly prohibited and will be punished with a ban.

(1.8) Providing false information such as your age when applying for a position/job at our servers or when asked by a staff member is not allowed. Keep in mind that you should never be asked to provide your full name, address, or any information that is personal.

2. General Rules
(2.1.1) Vehicle Deathmatch (also known as VDM) is strictly prohibited. At Legacy Roleplay, we define VDM as the act or effort of intentionally using a vehicle to kill or injure other persons, or, where a player kills another person, without intent, by reckless performance under circumstances where any sane individual would understand that such performance could beyond reasonable doubt result in the death of another person. Examples of VDM include, but are not limited to: intentionally running people over or causing explosions to vehicles in order to kill or injure any person(s), speeding excessively with a car hitting a motorcycle where the rider/passenger dies or causing an explosion to a vehicle in a high traffic area like Legion Square which results in the death of any person(s).

(2.1.2) An act in which a person uses his vehicle as a weapon in order to protect his own life from any direct or immediate threat, will not be considered VDM. A direct or immediate threat in this section is defined as any individual who actively attempts to take your life at the moment. If a person who attempts to kill you, but falls short of completing the act, tries to flee the scene, he is no longer considered a direct threat to your life.

(2.2) Random Deathmatch (also known as RDM) is the act of killing/downing somebody without first engaging in quality roleplay. The mentioned roleplay should always include directly initiating on somebody’s life or having your own life initiated on. You are also to give people an incentive and enough time to comply with your orders (e.g during a robbery, do not shoot after 3 seconds if they don’t listen). Note that we do not consider quick countdowns quality roleplay.

(2.3) Fear RP is not allowed. This means that you are to value your life at all times and act accordingly in situations. For example, if you have a gun pointed at you, then you are to listen to commands given by the person holding the gun or anyone affiliated with that person to ensure your own survival.

(2.4) Any modifications that change the functionality of the game or changes how our systems/scripts work (also known as modding and scripting) is strictly prohibited on our servers and will result in a permanent ban being issued. An example of a modification would be a crosshair or one that gives you free money.

(2.5) Bugs are inevitable as the server is in constant development. Exploiting any of these in-game bugs and using them to your advantage is not allowed. If you discover a bug that can be exploited, you are to immediately report it to any staff member available and they will make sure it’s taken care of. This includes but not limited to;
(2.5.1) Storing/Retrieving Vehicle to fully repair it.
(2.5.2) Transferring cash between characters.

(2.6) Combat logging during any roleplay situation is considered exploitation. Some examples of this would be: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained, etc. We are aware of common crashes, connection issues, etc., however, this is often reflected in the logs and staff will make an informed decision on whether you’ve tried to resolve the issue by, for example, logging back on.

(2.7) Trolling is the deliberate act of performing certain actions to provoke a reaction. We have a very clear list of what we consider trolling, but we advise using common sense as trolling is a very broad subject, and it is impossible to list everything. We consider the following trolling: running around while people are trying to roleplay, throwing yourself in front of vehicles, blocking people with your car without RP, jumping off buildings, bombarding people with messages, and playing soundboards/voice changers in-game without RP and in our discord channels. Depending on the severity, a violation of this rule could lead to a permanent ban without appeal.

(2.9) Trading real-life items for any in-game luxury is not allowed. This is because we do not want to be seen as a commercial entity as we feel it is unethical and FiveM strictly prohibits it. Donations made to cover server costs is an exemption.

(2.10) Using your phone to call jobs in order for them to arrive only so you can rob, take them as a hostage, or perform any other illegal activities will be punished accordingly.

(2.11) Ban evasion is not allowed. This means that, after banned, you may not play on other accounts to get around the ban or attempt anything that might trick staff into thinking you’re a different person.

(2.12) You may not advertise other communities through Legacy Roleplay, nor should you for any products/services/accounts for personal gain unless relevant to the server itself. A ban would be issued through the respective channel (e.g our Discord server) that you were using to advertise.

(2.13) Between your characters, there must not be any interactions. For instance, you are not allowed to transfer or give money between them. Doing this with a middle-man is also not allowed, and will lead to a ban.

(2.14) If you have an issue with an individual within our community please send a player report. Please include any evidence to make a case easier.

(2.15) You are not allowed to steal emergency service vehicles. The exception to this is if there is a valid roleplay scenario that would permit you to use a vehicle.

(2.16) While many believe that if they are not “read their rights” they will escape punishment for criminal acts, it is not quite so clear cut. Instead, if one is not read their rights, then any evidence obtained from the suspect prior to being advised of their Miranda Rights may be inadmissible as evidence at trial. but they will still be jailed.

(2.17) This is a roleplay community; if you are going onto another server that is empty/low pop to avoid any PD whilst grinding. You will be removed from that server and be told to go utilize the other server. Grinding will result in removal if that is all you are here for.

3. Roleplay Rules
(3.1) Powergaming is strictly prohibited. This is when you aim to maximize progress towards a specific goal, to the exclusion of other considerations such as storytelling (roleplay) and atmosphere.

(3.2) Fail RP is the act of failing to roleplay realistically and is a bannable offense. When playing, it is important to keep realistic capabilities. This means from now on you won't get punished when taking a car in terrains that it's not meant for. However, we still encourage to roleplay as much as possible during accidents such as crashing from high falls & high speeds.

(3.2.1) Robbing a bank and leaving before cops show up is considered poor roleplay as you are clearly avoiding interaction with the police and doing it solely for the money.

(3.3) Breaking roleplay in-voice (also known as going out of character) is never allowed unless a staff member arrives and clearly announces that there now is an on-going staff situation. We have seen numerous cases of people having personal arguments and threatening to file reports, and we want to make clear that this is not allowed. Doing this will lead to a permanent ban without any prior warnings.

(3.4) You are to always have and be able to use a microphone while playing on our servers.

(3.5) When your communication devices have been stripped from you, then all communication is to be made through proximity/direct [voice] chat. Continued use of the radio would be considered Fail-RP

(3.6) Continuing to roleplay a character of a sensitive nature after being requested to stop is punishable by a ban. A sensitive character could, for example, be Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin.

(3.7) Baiting is not allowed. Baiting for the sake of a gunfight is not considered roleplay. A few examples of baiting are: doing donuts around the police to provoke a reaction, robbing a gas station only to start a gunfight, and standing on top of somebody’s car without any RP to get a reaction from the owner.

(3.8) Robbing a store/bank on top of a restart is not allowed. This includes using the 15-minute window to rob somewhere knowing you cannot get caught due to the restart. Anyone caught doing so will be punished accordingly.

(3.9) Roleplaying as a nude character is not allowed. An exception for this rule is if you are inside the strip club (Vanilla Unicorn).

(3.10) Playing as a sexist character is not tolerated at our servers regardless of how good your roleplay is. Punishment is a permanent ban without appeal.

(3.11) OOC channels should not be used to resolve roleplay situations. This means that you should not use these channels to tell people that what is your location, situation, and you are not allowed nor threaten to file reports. Of course, you may do this on before-hand, but not after actions have already been committed and/or roleplay is completed.

(3.12) The use of /me’s are used to enhance roleplay. We do not want to see people using this as a form of power-gaming. A good example of this is ‘/me Zip Ties’. Trying to enforce an individual so that he/she cannot do anything.

(3.13) Mixing memories from 2 different characters is not allowed, this is considered metagaming. (4.1)

(3.14) Make sure your name is reasonable and does not say something like 'I LoveYou' or you will be forced to name change

(3.15) No criminal activity inside Pillbox. This rule is void if someone attempts to run into Pillbox as a safe haven when they are already in an rp situation.

(3.16) With the use of the In-Game VOIP and the radio system, you are no longer allowed to be in 3rd part communication. This includes any other communication software such as discord that allows you to talk in-game. The use of 3rd party communication will result in punishments

(3.17) If EMS is online and on duty and you fail to use the service by bringing someone to pillbox yourself, this is considered 'Fail-RP. You are removing EMS roleplay. The exception to this is if you get no response from EMS after a few minutes. Temp Added - If you have been in a shootout and cannot seek attention from Grandma due to being glitched/broken. You are able to bring your friend(s) to Pillbox.

(3.18) With the addition to the dog ped, we do not want to be seeing conversations being made from them. E.g. /me lets go down the road for a bite to eat. To act like you are talking to them in Human context. You are a dog and as such, you cannot communicate with humans. This being said, there is no issue with dogs communicating between one another using /me's with barks. Humans cannot understand of course.

(3.19) The trunk system is set to allow only one individual in it. We do not expect to see people carrying people from inside the trunk to get around the one person limit. This will be considered Fail-RP.

(3.20) If you decide to put your character into the ICU (intensive care unit) at Pillbox, then your character will be in ICU for a minimum of 24 hours. In order to exit ICU, you will also need to be checked out by a doctor.

4. Metagaming
(4.1) Using information that was not obtained through roleplay to influence actions in-game is considered metagaming and is not allowed.

(4.2) You are not allowed to identify people by using their assigned IDs. This number is only to be used when you wish to report somebody or by staff when performing certain actions on players (such as kicking). Punishment is a kick or depending on the context, may lead to a more strict punishment which may include in a permanent ban.

(4.3) If you are restrained or if your communication devices have been removed then you must make yourself inactive on any other forms of communication besides proximity chat.

(4.4) "Stream Sniping" is considered metagaming and is not allowed If a player is streaming on our servers, then you must not use the information that you gain from watching the stream in-game if found doing so will result into a kick and in a more serious situation may result into a permanent ban.

5. New Life Rule
This section defines the “New Life Rule”.

(5.1) When a new life starts, your character will forget all the information and events leading up to your death (15 minutes). However, you are still the same character (same job, gang, friends).

(5.2) A new life starts, when;
You are executed.
You re-spawn.

(5.2.1) NLR does not apply to the following;
Your character has been the victim of a clear case of VDM
Your character has been the victim of a clear case of RDM
You are downed (awaiting reviving)
You disconnect (end of the session)

(5.3) When you respawn:
Your character cannot return within 500m of the location of death or be involved in the same combat situation until the situation is over or 15 minutes have passed in real-time.
Players might act and try to tell you what happened to you and make the situation lead to an act of revenge. This type of revenge RP will be not considered as RP and depending upon the situation, a kick/ban will be given.

(5.4) When you are revived;
You may not actively engage in or continue the same combat situation for the next 15 minutes in real-time.
You must act injured. You cannot act like nothing happened as you are ruining any medical roleplay that may be introduced.
Your character remembers all the information before they were downed.
(5.5) When you are downed;
You cannot communicate with anyone while downed, especially not give any tactical information to your teammates.
You are supposed to be hurt. Do not talk if you were downed by a gun or any other lethal weapon unless you were downed by something that isn’t critical, but if you do decide to talk, at least act hurt.

6. Criminal Roleplay
(6.1) When taking hostages, you must provide high-quality roleplay.

(6.2) You are not allowed to use your friends or gang members as hostages. Hostages must be players that have no idea what you are planning.

(6.3) You are not allowed to use your phone to warn the police. Messages sent over the phone such as: “we will shoot any cops within 10 kilometers” will not be accepted.

(6.4) When the police turn their sirens and/or lights on to pull you over, roleplay is not initiated. This means that you cannot start shooting at police just for attempting to pull you over. Such actions will be classed as clear RDM.

(6.5) When robbing someone, all you can take is currently what’s in their inventory. This means that you cannot request bank transfers or force them to sell their car(s) for you. Neither are you allowed to take items from people’s apartments or vehicles.

(6.6) For an execution to occur, there must be;
1. High-quality roleplay involved
2. A very good reason for it to take place.

(6.7) Whenever partaking in criminal roleplay, you are not allowed to be more than 6 people in your group. Running around with more than that will lead to kicks and warnings or different scenarios a ban. This rule applies when doing anything remotely criminal, such as holding a player/NPC up, selling illegal substances, robbing someone, taking someone hostage, etc.

(6.8) You may not camp any location with the purpose of robbing the players, this includes the diving spot, chop shop, gun run locations, weed locations, and cocaine locations. (See rule 6.10).

(6.9) You are not allowed to /steal when cops arrest someone.

(6.10) The act of robbing someone should always contain a valid reason, it should be conducted with high-quality roleplay and items of roleplay importance should only be taken. Robbing people with the intention of maximizing monetary gain is not considered quality. This means, before you rob someone, ask yourself: "Why am I robbing this individual, and how does this progress my story?"

(6.11) No one can change clothes while being down, in order for clothing to be changed on the downed individual. A /me needs to be used from the person 'attempting' to dress the downed individual.

(6.12) Prison breaks are not allowed. This includes breaks from prison or being broken out on the way to prison. Members of whitelisted gangs should follow gang rules. THIS RULE NOW APPLIES TO WHITELISTED GANGS

7. Police Rules

Being a police officer at Legacy Roleplay is a huge privilege. It allows you to engage in some very interesting and awesome roleplay scenarios. In addition, you get to enforce the law! However, to ensure high-quality roleplay from the police, we have set a few rules.

(7.1) All police must have a working microphone.

(7.2) Police equipment (weapons, items, etc.) are not to be exchanged with players outside of the force. This is only acceptable if there is solid roleplay behind it.

(7.3) Tasers (non-lethal force) should be used unless there is a direct danger to surrounding officers or civilians or otherwise instructed by a high-ranking officer. Otherwise, lethal force can be used to terminate the danger.

(7.4) The police role should not be abused to help friends.

(7.5) When going off-duty as an officer, you are to dispose of any equipment and vehicles that you got from the police department. You may also not get equipment from the PD while off-duty.

(7.6) Negotiators are not to be taken as a hostage. If you find yourself in such a situation, make sure to report it.

(7.7) Police corruption is permitted as long as there is a story behind it. Using the role as an excuse to benefit ‘friends’ is not allowed and you will be punished.

(7.8) Detectives are not allowed to work on cases that their ‘cousin’ is involved in. This is to avoid any accidental meta that could occur. E.g. Bob cannot work on ‘Gold Gang’ if Bob's cousin is apart of that gang.

(7.9) Police must value the lives of their own and any other civilian if involved in a criminal situation. However, police are trained to do whatever is necessary to keep civilians safe from harm.

(7.10) Police cannot take out items from the evidence locker in order to profit from it. Doing so will be considered Fail-RP & Powergaming.

8. EMS Rules
EMS is a role that does not primarily focus on combative roleplay. Your job is to help injured people, regardless of who they are.

(8.1) EMS is to consult with the nearest officer when attending a crime scene as a medic. If no officers are nearby, then they can choose to call them or proceed with extreme caution.

(8.2) When going off-duty as a medic, you are to dispose of any equipment and vehicles that you got from the hospital.

(8.3) EMS is not to abuse their powers as a medic to help friends.
(8.3.1) EMS is not to revive downed individuals that have been involved in a serious situation (gunshots, stab wounds, etc) while off duty.
(8.3.2) EMS can revive downed individuals that have been involved in a minor situation (minor vehicle collision, fist fights, etc) while off duty.

(8.4) EMS must have a working microphone at all times.

9. Staff Team
We strive to produce the best staff team possible to continue providing high-quality roleplay at Legacy Roleplay. To ensure this, we have produced a set of rules related to the staff team.

(9.1) Any decisions made by the staff team is final.

(9.2) Abuse or any unpleasant behavior towards any staff member will not be tolerated. This includes swearing. Staff reserves the right to issue a ban if this rule is violated.

(9.3) We would appreciate it if you would refrain from sending private messages to staff members. Although many don’t mind a few messages, it can become excessive at times. If asked not to, then stop immediately.

(9.4) Abusing your position as a staff member will result in an instant removal and depending on the severity of the case, a ban.

(9.5) Unless there’s a valid reason behind it, staff may not teleport or spawn in money/items to help a player.

(9.6) Staff will not accept bribes (payments, favors, etc.) of any sort. This will result in an instant removal and a ban for the staff member, and there will also be a ban issued to the person offering the bribe.

(9.7) Staff will not discuss any internal information with anyone besides members of the team. This includes any decisions made or upcoming future updates. A violation of this rule will result in the removal from the staff team and a ban. Please note that this rule does not apply to developers or other content creators.

(9.8) All server rules apply to staff members. In certain situations, an override may be required. Higher management will handle any misconduct regarding staff. You are free to file a report if you believe a staff member has acted inappropriately.

(9.9) Staff will not provide reskins unless it is under an extreme situation.

10. Gang Rules

(10.1) - Turf and Gang wars do not have limits on the number of participants and location, meaning when in an active war, groups may actively have more than 6 members against the gang they are currently at war with and vice versa.
This does not void 10.4 when engaged in other criminal activities such as bank robberies.
This also does not mean that when engaged in a war/turf war that the cops should be outnumbered and stomped on, your goal should be to escape/flee if the cops are to get involved.

(10.2) - Alliances are meant strictly as a method of exchanging goods or services, you may not join forces to stomp on one gang.

(10.4) - Whenever partaking in criminal roleplay, you are not allowed to be more than 6 people in your group/gang. Running around with more than that will lead to kicks and warnings or in different scenarios a ban. This rule applies when doing anything remotely criminal, such as holding a player/NPC up, farming, processing, or selling illegal substances, robbing someone, taking someone hostage.

(10.5) - Prison Transports may consist of six criminals attempting to break free one prisoner. Prison breaks are to take place while the prisoner is being transported from Mission Row to Bolingbroke Penitentiary. Initiation is the Prison Transport itself, 30 seconds after the Convoy has left Mission Row, this does not mean to “mag dump” the transport but to strategically stop the convoy and recover your friend. Once the Prisoner is brought into the YARD of the prison, the transport is over. This does not mean for the Troopers performing the transport to speed their way into the prison, there should be an equal chance for both parties. There will not be fights at the prison or in the prison.

(10.6) - If a whitelisted gang loses its whitelist or the member that owns the vehicle is removed from the group, then the vehicle must be repoed/given to the Boss of PDM.

(10.6.1) - The Rumpo should only be used for gang-related activities, in other words, this vehicle should not be driven around when you are doing everyday things. Using the vehicle for any purpose outside of gang activities will result in a strike/removal of the vehicle.
